Printing Blueprints with Office Depot

Blueprints, or Engineer prints, are the most cost effective way to print posters. After printing blueprints regularly in college for my interior design projects, I got very familiar with printing large scale while on a college kid’s budget. Things have improved since then and so it’s very easy to send off your printable to your local print shop and then go pick it up when it’s ready.

These types of prints can be black and white or full color. The only catch is it’s just normal printer paper. Nothing special - no cardstock, photo paper, etc. But that’s how they are so cost effective. When printing things for your kids in large scale you don’t need anything fancy. Just something for the purpose in which it’s being used. These types of prints are perfect for that. So how do you do it? Let me show you!

A STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO ORDERING OFFICE DEPOT BLUEPRINTS

1. Go to officedepot.com. In the top menu, click the drop down for services > print & copy > blueprints.

2. Click the “customize” button to get started on your print project.

3. Setup your print options. Give you project a name, set the quantity, paper size, paper type (24lb Blueprint Paper), fit paper (keep size), and color. Then in the project preview section, upload your file (typically “my device” is what you choose). Find and select the file you want to print and click upload.

4. Add your print to your cart. Once you’ve checked all your options and your preview looks correct, click the add to cart button at the bottom right.

5. Setup for Store pickup. In your cart, don’t forget to choose the option for store/curbside pickup at your local Office Depot to save delivery charges and for a much quicker turnaround.

7. Pickup your order when it’s ready
